Database Administrator – Senior

Responsibilities:

§ Upgrade Oracle Database 19c to 23c multitenant for the PeopleSoft HCM application

§ Establish and manage the Oracle 19C database environment to support the needs of the PeopleSoft HCM application.

§ Design, implement, and manage an Oracle Data Masking and Sub-setting process that will be used for PeopleSoft instance refreshes and replication.

§ Provide technical direction to application developers for any database related design

• Support production and development systems to ensure system integrity and optimal performance levels.

§ Support critical business operational requirements for current/future database systems, installations, maintenance, optimization, trouble shooting, and back-up and recovery services.

§ Research, evaluate, and recommend innovative solutions for production enhancements and improvements.

§ Perform daily administration functions and change management in support of IT operations.

§ Support and maintain Oracle Software applications: Enterprise Database 19c, Data Encryption, Data Masking and Sub-setting, Log Shipping and Data Guard.

§ Performance tuning, query optimization, and scalable database design.

§ Support application database and software activities such as scripting, SQL programming, and participating in software upgrades, capacity management and patching.

·Demonstrated experience supporting and maintain Oracle Software applications: Enterprise Database 19c, Data Encryption, Data Masking and Sub-setting, Log Shipping and Data Guard - 40%

·Experience in performance tuning, query optimization, and scalable database design - 20%

·Experience of providing database services within an Azure off premise cloud environment would be a definite asset - 10%

·Knowledge of the Oracle PeopleSoft HCM application or another equivalent HRMS system - 10%

·Knowledge of application database and software activities such as scripting, SQL programming, and participating in software upgrades, capacity management and patching - 10%

·Knowledge of technical performance and monitoring software to ensure database integrity and performance standards are met - 10%
